The Lamborghini Miura was the first super sports car with two seats and a mid-engine. Since then, this layout has been the standard for high-performance sports cars and super sports cars. When the Miura hit the market, it was the fastest production car in the world. The Miura as Lamborghini’s flagship was updated regularly and remained in production until 1973. One year later the extreme Lamborghini Countach followed in the production of the Italian carmaker.
